1. Even though my tag name is Sparkling Diamond, I do not like diamonds. I am an opal or lapis gal.

3. I love musicals (and every great musical has a tango scene)
4. The title of strange enchanted girl fits me very well...here is why:
5. I was born in the Land of Enchantment (New Mexico)
6. To be exact, I was born in Roswell
7. I have a bump behind each ear that the doctors never could figure out and as a child I ran around telling everyone I was from Mars and the bumps were my antennas.
8. I didn't know about the whole alien space ship crash thing in Roswell until I was in my late 20's.
9. I love the paranormal and anything mysterious.
10. I grew up on the Navajo reservation.
11. I spoke my own kind of 'navajo'.
12. I learned to run fast and be artistic in order to survive my childhood.
13. I had a phobia of crowded places as a child.
14. This phobia did not end unitl I was 15, when I had to start doing the grocery shopping for my family by myself.
15. I had to start doing all of the household duties because my mom had MS.
16. I taught myself how to cook because mom didn't cook very well, and I knew food could taste better than what she made.
17. I wanted to be a vet.
18. Mom wanted to be a vet.
19. Dad studied to be a vet, then went into the Navy.
20. My mom raised Collies and showed them.
21. She taught me how, gave me a puppy named Cappy and I also did shows.
22. My dad made Mom get rid of her Collies...I have a horrible memory of their fight over it all.
23. Then Mom got into Australian shepards.
24. Our dogs would not allow any Navajo into our yard.
25. I preferred cats.
26. Dad hated cats, but I always found a way to have one.
27. Why am I talking so much about my childhood?
28. Maybe because I recently started writing memoirs from my childhood, and I have a chapter due.
29. I love writing and worked on several novels before my divorce.
30. I have been divorced and am now in my second marriage.
31. Although my writing was good then, I think I wrote as an escape.
32. I can't seem to get back into writing fiction again.
33. The first time I got married, I was 17.
34. The irony of my life...I had a very strict Baptist Preacher for a Father, but he let me get married at 17.(No, we did not live on the reservation because Dad was a missionary)
35. I had my first child when I was 20.
36. My second child at 22.
37. My third at 24.
38. At least the even years make remembering the years of their births easy.
39. I don' t regret it for one minute.
40. I was a stay-at-home mom.
41. But I desperately wanted to be a business woman.
42. I studied business on my own and had my own small business's off and on while the kids were growing up.
43. I became a Water Fitness Instructor and Swim Coach when I was
44. It was the most rewarding and fabulous job I've ever had.
45. All of my kids swam competively and my son was in the Jr. Olympics.
46. I love Natural Theraputics and taught the benefits of water exercise.
47. Doing this saved my life because I have severe scoliosis.
48. I live in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina.
49. The story of how I went from New Mexico to the south is an amazing story.
50. After my divorce, I worked as a supervisor for a bakery.
51. So long lean and fit body.
52. I was never a big bread/pastry eater until then.
53. Not having dinner until 9pm and getting to take home left over pastries at the end of the day wrecked havoc on my weight.
54. I do not recommend this to anyone.
55. I then managed the fashion floor of a Ski shop.
56. I hate skiing for several reasons:
57. I am afraid of heights.
58. I hate the cold and snow.
59. I was very happy when I left that job.
60. I then managed an art gallery and Native American boutique.
61. I was back in my element.
62. I quickly realized just how badly the Native Americans were being scammed with their incredible craftwork.
63. I started a Southwestern Decor business.
64. I sold high end SW decor to very wealthy people.
65. Each time I went to a show, I would say to myself, "I'd rather be creating this stuff instead of selling it"
66. I started creating custom painted furnishings and specialty chalkboards.
67. I now work full time from my own studio creating decorative and fine art.
68. I have two cats.
69. I remarried in 2000.
70. We got married on my birthday due to it being the only day his parents could come.
71. I don't recommend that.
72. My grandmother died the same day.
73. No one, with the exception of my kids, were there from my family.
74. It was a very beautiful garden wedding.
75. I am known for my great coffee.
76. I also make fabulous green chili chicken enchiladas

78. and margaritas.
79. My hubby is Scottish with blue eyes.
80. I've always been obsessed with tall Latinos.
81. But, I love him dearly and we joke about it often.
82. He "gets" me.
83. The older I get, the more bohemian I get. (But I do shave my legs and armpits)
84. We tease a lot in this family.
85. My kids have outrageous senses of humor.
86. Sometimes we have to be careful, not everyone gets our teasing and humor.
87. I love all types of music.
88. I use to play the trombone.
89. Then one day while I was in high school, my dad announced I was the new church pianist.
90. I became a good piano player very quickly.
91. I played for special events and weddings.
92. I sold my piano because a house we had built was too small for it.
93. I wish I could sing.
94. My youngest daughter Beeseboss has a fabulous voice.(yes, Beeseboss is a nickname...how weird do you think I am??)
95. My son Beebob is a drummer and guitarist. (duh! yes, a nickname)
96. My daughter Raja played the sax and piano but is better at art and creative writing. (do I need to repeat myself?)
97. My hubby has taught me to love classical music.

99. I rebelled and left organized religion when I was 26.
100. I researched and studied various belief systems and now have a deep spiritual life.
101. I live my life by the teachings of Abraham-Hicks, the Art of Allowing, also known as Deliberate Creation.
102. I believe in living life to its fullest, feeling good, and embracing differences.
